Coalition Fight Music Releases New Fight Song- Will 2 Live

Coalition Fight Music Releases New Fight Song- Will 2 Live

About Coalition Fight Music:

The group believes Mixed Martial Arts is more than just performing in the cage; it is a philosophy and a lifestyle. A true fighter is someone who protects others, be it on the warring front as soldiers or on the domestic front as law makers.
CFM has spent time working with California Against Slavery as well as other Anti-Human Trafficking organizations that concentrate their efforts to end the sexual exploitation of children and other innocents. Supporting efforts have included contributing with performances at demonstrations to raise awareness and encourage participation among citizens and lawmakers as well as the less glamorous, but equally important work including helping with some of the daily grind of disseminating literature and information about the cause.

CFM has also worked closely with Team Darius including donating a portion of the proceeds from the song "Darius" to this charitable organization that was built to raise awareness and funding for the study of Periventricular leukomalacia (PVL).

The core group currently consists of The Relles and Statecyde, rap artists from Sacramento who have developed their own styles based on their experiences and collaborations throughout the global rap scene. Coalition Fight Music however, is not a single style, they are known to collaborate with other musicians to incorporate and diversify their musical styles. Included among those bands are Beyond the Grove, Nor Cal's rock talent and Sharmera, Boston's newest and most talented alternative rock.

As musicians CFM has taken to heart the approach that that made MMA athletes so successful, maintaining an open mind and always advancing in progressive and diverse music.

Las Vegas, NV (USA) – With the heavyweight division better than it’s ever been, the Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®) is proud to confirm another blockbuster matchup that is sure to shake up the UFC Octagon® as well as the mixed martial arts community. “Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos are two of the most explosive heavyweights in the game, and I give both of them a lot of respect for taking this fight,” UFC President Dana White said. “Brock wanted the quickest way back to a title shot, and he’s willing to go through dos Santos to do it. Junior could have waited around for his shot at the belt, but as a true fighter he didn’t want to sit around, and now he faces one of the toughest guys in the game. This is going to be one of the biggest heavyweight fights in years, and it’s guaranteed to be all-action from start to finish.”

“We are pleased to have the UFC return to Rogers Arena. We are committed to providing a world class experience for all of our guests at each and every event we host,” said Canucks Sports & Entertainment Vice President & General Manager, Arena Operations, Harvey Jones. “We recognize British Columbians’ passion for sports, entertainment and the UFC and are excited to be able to host this event again this year.”

Plus, four other highly-anticipated matches will be featured on the main card as UFC heavyweight title contender Shane Carwin looks to jump right back in the title hunt when he faces dangerous ground fighter Jon Olav Einemo. Coming off his head-turning submission victory over Paul Kelly, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone takes on UFC vet Mac Danzig. Then submission specialist Demian Maia meets middleweight contender Mark Munoz, and crowd favorite Kenny Florian makes his featherweight debut against red-hot Diego Nunes.

Tickets for UFC® 131: LESNAR vs. DOS SANTOS are priced at $650, $450, $325, $225, $135 and $85, not including applicable service charges, and go on sale Saturday, April 16 at 10 a.m. PT at the Rogers Arena box office, all Ticketmaster outlets or at www.ticketmaster.ca. The most polarizing figure in all of mixed martial arts, former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar (fighting out of Webster, South Dakota / professional record – 5-2) came onto the scene and earned the title in his third UFC fight with a dominating victory over legend and UFC Hall-of-Famer Randy Couture at UFC 91. A 2000 NCAA Division I national champion wrestler at the University of Minnesota, the 33-year-old has parlayed an impressive amateur wrestling career into a successful mixed martial arts one. With stoppage wins over Couture, Frank Mir and Shane Carwin, Lesnar is dangerous for any opponent and is focused on earning the UFC heavyweight title once again.

With a perfect 6-0 record in the UFC, Junior dos Santos (fighting out of Santa Catarina, Brazil / 12-1) finished his first five fights against names such as Mirko Cro Cop, Gabriel Gonzaga, Gilbert Yvel, Stefan Struve and Fabricio Werdum. The 27-year-old rising star has one of the top striking games in the heavyweight division and showed his ability to go into deep water with his three-round unanimous decision victory against seasoned vet Roy “Big Country” Nelson in his last match at UFC 117.

A fighter that was moments away from earning the UFC heavyweight title, Shane Carwin (fighting out of Greeley, Colo. / 12-1) took Lesnar to the brink of defeat in their epic UFC 116 battle before the then-champion was able to turn the tide back in his favor. The Lesnar fight marked the first time Carwin, a former college wrestler and football player, had ever been out of the first round, a streak that included stoppages over Frank Mir, Gabriel Gonzaga, Neil Wain and Christian Wellisch. But now the 36-year-old engineer looks to get back into the title picture with a win over the experienced Jon Olav Einemo.

A fighter that is making his UFC debut against a tough, seasoned opponent, submission grappling ace Jon Olav Einemo (fighting out of Breda, Netherlands / 6-1) is a PRIDE® veteran and a very dangerous ground fighter that holds five of his six wins by submission. A 2003 champion in the esteemed Abu Dhabi world submission fighting championships, Einemo, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, is the only person to ever defeat ADCC legend Roger Gracie and now looks to parlay his grappling success into a memorable UFC career.

Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone (fighting out of Albuquerque, N.M. / 14-3-0, 1 NC) returns to the Octagon® in search of his second straight UFC win. A fighter that can put opponents away with his impressive kick boxing or his relentless jiu-jitsu, the 28-year-old Denver, Colorado native put together a solid resume in the WEC with wins over Chris Horodecki, Jamie Varner, Ed Ratcliff, James Krause, Rob McCollough and Danny Castillo – and with a second-round submission over Paul Kelly in his UFC debut, the lightweight division better take notice because “Cowboy” just rode into town.

A veteran of 30 professional fights, Mac Danzig (fighting out of Los Angeles, Calif. / 21-8-1) is a 31-year-old veteran that is now just hitting his stride. Coming off an impressive first-round stoppage over one-time UFC lightweight title contender Joe Stevenson at UFC 124 in Montreal, the Cleveland, Ohio native and proud vegan will be fighting for the third consecutive time in Canada and is becoming a crowd favorite north of the border. With four wins in the UFC, Danzig knows what it takes to succeed under the bright lights.

One of the most decorated grapplers in the UFC, Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Demian Maia (fighting out of Sao Paolo, Brazil / 14-2) has five submission victories in the UFC over fighters such as Chael Sonnen, Nate Quarry, Jason MacDonald, Ed Herman and Ryan Jensen. The two-time world champion in Brazilian jiu-jitsu has won three out of his last four fights with his only loss coming to UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

Another former NCAA Division I national champion wrestler turned successful mixed martial artist, Mark Munoz (fighting out of Vallejo, Calif. / 10-2) is riding a two-fight win streak, including a unanimous decision victory over Aaron Simpson and a first-round knockout over Simpson’s Arizona State friend and training partner CB Dollaway. A winner of five out of his last six fights, the versatile Munoz is dangerous on the ground and on his feet and is looking to burst into the title picture with a win against Maia.

Former lightweight title contender Kenny Florian (fighting out of Brookline, Mass. / 15-5) will be making his debut at featherweight in Vancouver and could become an instant contender in a division that features unstoppable champion Jose Aldo. With victories over some of the biggest names in the 155-pound division, including Takanori Gomi, Clay Guida, Joe Lauzon, Din Thomas, Joe Stevenson and Roger Huerta, the Boston-area jiu-jitsu black belt will be one to look out for at his new home at 145-pounds.

Ready to welcome Florian into the 145-pound division, Diego Nunes (fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil / 16-1) won four out of his five fights in the World Extreme Cagefighting® (WEC®) and defeated former WEC featherweight champion Mike Brown in his UFC debut in January. A Southern Brazil Muay Thai and boxing champion, Nunes plans to use his elite striking to get past Florian on June 11 and fuel a run toward UFC gold.

Additional bouts will be announced at a later date. For more information, or current UFC fight news, visit UFC.com. All bouts live and subject to change.

Under the terms of the deal, all Strikeforce fighter contracts will be honored, as will its broadcast agreement with Showtime® Networks, Inc. Strikeforce will continue to operate as a separate business and current Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker has signed a long-term employment agreement with the company.

“We have worked hard to make mixed martial arts the fastest growing sport in the world,” UFC President Dana White said. “We’ve spent countless hours getting this sport regulated and taking the Octagon® all over the world. Sanchez: “If one particular takedown doesn’t work I have 10 different takedowns”

Written by Penny Buffington

Diego “The Dream” Sanchez is ready to fight his first UFC Fight since deserting his previous nickname “The Nightmare” and reinventing himself as “The Dream”.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship and VERSUS announced today that the UFC event airing this Thursday, March 3, will be broadcast in 3D for the first-time ever. The highly-anticipated card, which is headlined by a welterweight clash between Diego Sanchez and Martin Kampmann, from the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Ky. will air live at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Sanchez confirmed to Penny Buffington executive producer of MMA2DAY Show he is in fact now known as “The Dream”.

Earlier in the month Diego gave reasons for no longer wanting to be known as “The Nightmare” during an interview with MMA2DAY Show and at a UFC media conference he explained, “I let the Nightmare go because, to me I see some negative in it, And a nightmare, you know, it’s something negative and kind of like – kind of evil and I don’t want to represent that. I want to represent positivity and I want to represent the good and, I look back on my whole career, I’m like the nightmare? The nightmare was myself. I was the – I was my own nightmare. And, all the times that I fell off track, you know what I mean, and got into drinking and, you know, got into smoking weed, got into – you know, the things that brought me down. The partying, that was my nightmare. I was my own nightmare.”

Sanchez has a mixed martial arts record of 24 – 4 – 0. This will be his 3rd. welterweight fight since moving back up from the lightweight division. His last fight in Oct. was a decisive win over Paulo Thiago. “To all the people out there who saw me in my last fight and liked my performance and actual style of how I fought. This time around I have totally reinvented myself. I am settled in now at the 170 pound weight class right now so I am walking around at 195. I have been doing lots and lots of weights and lots of wrestling. I am used to handling the guys who are much larger opponents like Rashad Evans and Andrei Arlovski. I go with those guys on a daily basis: Jon Jones, My roommate is Willie Parks. He was on the olympic team. He wrestled for Iowa State and he is a grunt. He wrestled like 185 and I am wrestling with this guy everyday and honestly we got back to our true wresting roots. The real true wrestling style.”

“If one particular takedown doesn’t work I have 10 different takedowns. I have a lot of different ways to mix my wrestling with my style of striking also.”

“I am one of the people who is blessed with…I don’t know…but when I gain my weight I don’t lose speed. I think speed is something that is within your mind. That is where your speed comes from. When I am at 170 I have to constantly be doing a lot of kettlebells a lot of weight lifting and that makes me more explosive because I am a lot stronger.”

The season 1 winner of The Ultimate Fighter has moved back home near his family, friends and Jackson’s MMA. “That is where I started was at Greg Jackson’s so when I came back I was like you know what this is my gym. I gotta represent. Before I can be a world champion out in the real world I have got to be a world champion at my gym. When I have got the best guys in the world and I am training with them everyday, you see, I keep the mentality, Alright well, I am going to get a takedown every single round and I am going to win every single round. I am going to try to get up on points and win every round. It’s hard over here because most of these guys are 185 pounders 205 pounders and we are banging hard. So you have to have that mentality the number one thing is to be on top of your wrestling and your conditioning.”

Martin “The Hitman” Kampmann has a mixed martial arts record of 17-4-0 and trains out of Las Vegas at Xtreme Couture.

As Sanchez explains he believes he deserves the win, “You know, Penny, mentally in my mind I just feel I’ve earned the W. I just work hard and I feel like I’ve done extra things, like lifting weights after training, like going and running the mountains when I don’t have to. And like the little extra things that even my team mates don’t do: going to wrestling practice with the high school wrestling team, like the little small things that I do extra on top of my regular training are the things that give me the confidence and the mental edge to say, you know what, I sacrificed enough to feel in my heart and so that I earn the victory.”

“With all my fighting experience I’ve had in the ring, that’s what it is, it comes down to the training and that’s all it really is. And, you know, now with Greg Jackson we have a great game plan. And that was something that I never had before, I never had a game plan. I never did game plans. I’d just get in there and scrap. We have a great game plan, we put together a great camp for this fight and I’ve been very very blessed to have all my training partners have fights too. I’ve had plenty of training partners and we all work really hard and I hope they all win and hope I win and I have a lot of respect for Martin. I know he’s a hard worker also.”

After tuff times Diego is feeling mentally strong now. “After the John Hathaway loss, I hit rock bottom after the BJ Penn fight, I really did. I blew through all my money, I really just – I made some very bad decisions. I fell into – I had this scam artist scam me real bad. I was embezzled over $175,000. I really got – hit rock bottom and I had to come back home. I needed my family love and, you know what I mean, I just was humbled 100%.”

“I was humbled back down to zero, you know what I mean? I had no ego, no nothing, just humble and that’s what – after the John Hathaway loss, I was still in the funk. I was still in the funk for John Hathaway. I was training. I was going to the bar and drinking beer after training. I didn’t even take him seriously at all. I though, you know what I mean, I’m going to go in there and I’m going to knock this guy out, I’m going to take him down, and, you know, first round I got hit with the knee in the face real hard and, I couldn’t recover from it.”

“And I wasn’t in the physical shape or the spiritual or the mental. I shouldn’t have been in the ring for that fight period and after that fight I said, you know what, I’m going to get back to what got me there and that was Greg Jackson, high altitude, and just earning it.”
