Thomas Murphy Wins Amateur MMA Debut; 22-Second TKO at Resorts Casino Hotel, Atlantic City



- Murphy Teams up with Caffeine Culture -

New York, NY -- March 11, 2009 – Amateur MMA fighter, Thomas Murphy won in a 22-second TKO against Joe Del Viscio on Saturday, March 7th at the Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Caffeine Culture, a contemporary young men’s apparel line was the sponsor for Murphy’s amateur fight debut. The event was organized by New Breed Fighters.

Joseph Ballé, designer for Caffeine Culture, is a third-degree black belt in Jujutsu and maintains fitness and spiritual regimens that include Thai boxing and various other forms of Jujutsu.

“We congratulate Tommy on his first amateur win with a fast, 22-second TKO,” said Joseph Ballé, designer of Caffeine Culture. “We look forward to the continued support of Tommy and his role within the MMA sport.”

In addition to Murphy, the New Breed Fighters card included 19 other bouts scheduled for three, three-minute rounds. Fighters squared off inside a 24-foot caged hexagon that was built inside the Superstar arena of the Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City. The fighters used a variety of techniques including jujitsu, boxing, wrestling and kickboxing.
